HALLS GAP - If you are interested in a community role to help manage Halls Gap Caravan Park and Halls Gap Recreation Reserve, then consider nominating to join the Committee of Management.
The Department of Environment and Primary Industries (DEPI) is now calling for expressions of interest from the community to manage the caravan park and recreation reserve for the next three years.
DEPI Program Manager Public Land South West, Greg Leece, said nominations are invited from members of the community who have relevant skills and experience and wish to be involved.
"This is a unique opportunity to become actively involved in the management of these highly significant reserves," Mr Leece said.
"The Halls Gap Caravan Park and Halls Gap Recreation Reserve located on Crown land in Halls Gap and the committee is responsible for the day-to-day management, care and protection of the area, on behalf of the local community and the general public."
Specific interest and/or skills in one of the following areas would be highly regarded - Knowledge of community interests and needs, community liaison, education and/or training, committee and meeting procedures, and administration, environmental management, business management, human resource management, asset management, legal affairs, financial management/accounting, sport and recreation, Aboriginal and cultural heritage, tourism and marketing.
