STAWELL - Mal Elliott has picked up the Grange Golf Club monthly medal for October.
Elliott fired a nett score of 66 to take home the spoils, and his total of 81-15-66 was enough to finish on top in B grade.
Richard Dodds was B grade runner up with 87-19-68.
Robert Bullen returned a winner in A grade, returning 78-5-73 to win on a countback from David Newton with 86-13-73.
Tom Cooper claimed C grade honours with 98-25-73 from Barry Colyer on 97-22-75.
Doug Collins emerged victorious in the vets competition on a countback from John Hosking.
The decider was needed after both players finished with 76 nett.
Eunice Balle returned a card of 97-24-73 to win the ladies section although Kaylene Cameron was very impressive, with her hot score of 76-2-74 earning her runner up spoils on a countback from Jave Delley and Di Burton.
Ball comp winners were Jane Delley, Di Burton, John Hosking, Peter Bartholomew and Mal Cameron.
Kaylene Cameron was nearest to the pin on the ladies second hole while Peter Davis and David Newton saluted on the men's second and 14 holes respectively.
Mal Elliott's successful weekend continued with a win in Saturday's stableford event.
Elliott finished with a tidy 40 points to take home the honours.
Peter Davis was runner up with 36 points while Caleb Bretherton rounded out the top three with 34 points.
Nearest pin prizes went to Peter Davis on the second hole and Lois Dunne on the 14th.
Tomorrow is club day, 12 noon start.
Sunday is an open day (president's day), with a mixed pinehurst and men's stroke event, starting at 11am.
Members are asked to please bring a plate of cakes.
