STAWELL - Entertainment company Promac Productions will perform its Ovation show in Stawell tomorrow night.
Through the Stawell Regional Arts Council, Chris McKenna has assembled a wonderful cast of singers from Opera Australia including Australian Tenor Jason Wasley.
The show, which has come about as a result of Hilary Henshaw being ill forcing the cancellation of 'Cheek to Chic', will be musically backed by international concert pianist Len Vorster with Mr McKenna as compere.
Ovation showcases some of the most beautiful music ever written from gorgeous opera classics to scintillating arrangements of Cole Porter, George Gershwin and Noel Coward.
It features international singers Alison Rae Jones, Caroline Vercoe and Jason Wasley who have worked in a broad spectrum of styles from opera through to music theatre and jazz.
They have been principal artists with Victorian Opera, Opera Australia, English National Opera, Glyndebourne and the D'Oyly Carte and have performed everywhere from the Sydney Opera House to Sir Elton John's Birthday Party.
Alison, Caroline and Jason are thrilled to be joined by renowned pianist Len Vorster whose expertise and artistry are a constant source of inspiration to them all. And bringing some fun, frivolity and audience participation to the evening will be the inimitable compere Christopher McKenna.
'Ovation' will be presented by Stawell Regional Arts at the Stawell Entertainment Centre tomorrow in place of 'Cheek to Chic'.
The replacement show will commence at 7.30pm. Doors open at 7pm.
Tickets are available at Stawell Library. Tickets will also be available for purchase on the day at the door. All tickets purchased to date for 'Cheek to Chic' will give valid entry to 'Ovation'.
