STAWELL - Students at St Patrick's Primary School didn't miss the opportunity to dress up as some of their favourite characters during Book Week.
A special assembly was held in the multipurpose hall at the start of the day where students took part in a parade to show off their costumes.
Book Week was celebrated for the 67th time in 2013 making it the longest running children's festival in the country.
Each year, many schools and public libraries from all over Australia spend a week celebrating books and Australian authors and illustrators.
Classroom teachers, teacher librarians and public librarians develop activities, offer competitions and tell stories relating to a theme to highlight the importance of reading.
