STAWELL - With winter still upon us, the Stawell Farmers Market this Sunday offers an ideal opportunity to stock up on cold weather comfort food.
Select from a large variety of turkey products, vegetables, fruit, spices, olives, a variety of nuts, honey, bread, biscuits, wonderful cup cakes, jams, sauces, chutney, soup mix, lentils plus much more.
A wonderful range of craft, a variety of cards, beautiful knitted garments, children's rugs, jewellery and bags are also available at the market.
Other products include Emu skin care, candles and accessories, plants and herbs. Warm up with a choice of hand woven scarfs, gloves and hats from Steve Gliese of Blue Moon Alpacas who will have a stall at Sunday's market.
With Father's Day and football finals around the corner, visit Jenny Rawson's stall and see the popular can coolers in all football colours, that can be customised to suit.
Many other products include butterfly magnets, wooden toys, key rings, plus one eyed football supporter badges.
This month, the Stawell Farmers Market will welcome a number of new stalls, adding to the variety of products available.
These include Lana's Garden rhubarb products, Geoff Thomas with his pet bones for large and small dogs, plus chicken necks, Dunkeld Bakery with their sour dough bread, Tanya Walter with soup mixes and lentils (bring your own container if you wish), Sharon Martin with her individually crafted throw rugs, Erin Bester's candles and accessories, Cherrelle Nicholson with hand made felted garments, Kimberley Gehan with cup cakes and Hannah Rasche with her lip balms and cosmetics.
Car boot sites are also available at the Farmers Market.
The friendly volunteers will assist you with hamburgers, sausages, sandwiches, pancakes, tea, coffee and soft drinks to enjoy during the morning.
The Stawell Agricultural Society Farmers Market is seeking expressions of interest from those with farm origin products such as cheese, eggs, fish, meat and wine.
