STAWELL - Grampians Pharmacy still stocks the very best in Darrell Lea products, despite the popular chocolate company changing ownership recently.
Darrell Lea has been a favourite in Stawell for at least 30 years and after a period of transition Grampians Pharmacy is slowly reintroducing lines.
Over the next six months the full range of Darrell Lea products will become available including alternative chocolate boxes and assorted chocolates.
Darrell Lea was founded in 1927 and is well known for producing liquorice and sweet treats such as the marshmallow, chocolate and nut bar Rocklea Road.
The unique products were first introduced into shops in the 1950s.
Grampians Pharmacy stocks Darrell Lea chocolates for all occasions including Father's Day which is just around the corner.
Dad's bags and tins have hit the shelves and in the lead up to Christmas more stock will become available.
All Darrell Lea owned retail outlets were closed by September last year after the company went into receivership.
The company's products can still be found in more than 1000 licensed outlets across Australia.
They are also available at newsagents, gift shops as well as all major supermarkets, but nothing matches the range at Grampians Pharmacy.
The popularity of Darrell Lea products is evident by the fact it is still sold overseas in the US, Canada and Britain.
The demand for its famous liquorice in particular internationally is overwhelming and growing exponentially.
All of Darrell Lea's products continue to be made in Australia.
