STAWELL - Griffiths has once again won the Stawell Secondary College swimming carnival shield.
The red house finished with 963 points to win the swimming sports from McLachlan (931) and Mitchell (774).
It was a successful day for the College despite the swimming sports having to be postponed due to maintenance issues with the Stawell Leisure Complex outdoor pool.
Assistant principal Murray Hart presented Griffiths house captains Tom Walter and Meaghan Armstrong with the shield and thanked parents, teachers and age group captains for helping out on the day.
Age group champions were also presented with medals and they were as follows:
Girl's: Under 13 - Eliza Bennett, U14 - Natasha Reading, U15 - Erin McClure, U16 - Mikaela Pahl, U17 - Lucy Pollock, U20 - Bethany Griffiths.
Boy's: Under 13 - Jack Simmons, U14 - Byron Grinham, U15 - Jake Stainsby, U16 - Michael Hackwill, U17 - Bryce Clayton, U20 - Tom Walter.
*Stawell Primary Schoolheld their grade five/six swimming sports last month.
Gold house took home the shield with 135 points while Green finished second on 114.
Blue was third with 78 and Red came in fourth on 73.
Captains Jakob Salmi and Holly Crouch accepted the shield on behalf of Gold house.
