Stawell Golf fall short in bowls final

STAWELL - In the Grampians Bowls Division division (2) grand final, Stawell Golf lost to Ararat Green by eleven shots.

Mike Habben was in control early in his game with Neville Bates, but slipped behind at the half way mark only to close the gap at the end by two shots.

Norm Duxson and Barry Joyce were level early in the game, but a match winning performance from Jamie Bulger put Ararat in the winning seat and although Golf were finishing strong, they ran out of ends.
