STAWELL - Stawell Stingrays Lacey Honeyman, Jamie Perry and Jaxon Healy travelled to Melbourne to represent the Wimmera in the 2013 Country Inter-district Swimming Titles.
Despite missing out on a place in their various races, Wimmera District team organiser Greg Schwarz was happy with his team including the three Stawell youngsters.
"All of the kids in the district team swam well," Mr Schwarz said.
"They were up against kids who train up to nine times a week, compared to (our) 1-2.
"And competing at that level...it was a great job for the amount of training that they do."
Mr Schwarz praised Stawell Stingrays coaches Ben Hughes and Kim Vipond.
"Stawell is doing well," he said.
"Ben and Kim have done a very good job at getting the kids up."
Stawell Stingrays were back in action at the weekend in the Wimmera District championships at Warracknabeal.
