STAWELL - Scott Fletcher, Trent Chamberlain and Jayden Dignan enjoyed a 'Fabulous February' with a win in the Stawell Golf Club three person Texan ambrose competition held over the weekend.
There were 105 players over two days of play and plenty of prizes were up for grabs.
Shaun Allen, Darren Jenkinson and Kraig Pickering were leading following the first day.
The trio returned 123 points to receive the day's honours, edging Fletcher/Chamberlain/Dignan and Matt Skinner/Leighton Dunn/Max Waters out by one.
Fletcher/Chamberlain/Dignan were declared runners up in a countback.
Day two belonged to Gavin Orr, Craig Eckel and Jim Freebairn with 128 points.
David Sears, Ben Price and Rick Heinrich were second on 123 and rounding out the top three was Lyle McInerney, Jill McInerney and Joan Fletcher in a countback (122).
Fletcher, Chamberlain and Dignan added to their score with 122 on the final day, claiming the major prize with a combined total of 245 points.
Jenkinson, Allen and Pickering couldn't maintain their winning lead, returning 111 points to finish in the runner up position with an overall total of 234.
Nearest pin winners on the first day were Rob Blachford (sixth hole), David Hooper (ninth), Laura Martin (13th) and Jayden Dignan (17th).
Second shot third hole went to Michael Purger and 18th was taken out by Shaun Allen.
Shaun Allen kicked off the second day with a nearest pin win on the sixth hole, David Sears won on the ninth, Rob Blachford on the 13th and Joan Fletcher saluted on the 17th.
Craig Eckel and Matt Jakobi were second shot winners on the third and 18th holes.
Des Pickford won the chicken run with 23 points from Ian Sibson (22) and Ian Stewart (21).

All nearest pin winners received a bottle of wine, while afternoon tea was supplied by the ladies on both days, raising $315.
Tomorrow is a fourball best ball stableford competition, sponsored by Stawell Windows and Glass.
