STC - After suffering a shock loss to Stawell Toyota last week, Stawell Joinery will be looking to bounce back when they tackle Farrer's Tyrepower tonight in the Stawell Tennis Club senior competition.
Stawell Joinery sit just one point away from competition ladder leaders Frewstal and if things fall their way, can snatch the top ranking ahead of finals time.
Harry Driscoll and Delaney Humphris have been in good form but must receive support from their higher ranked teammates with Howard Dunn, Sean Dwyer, Suzie Blakey and Anna Sullivan set to step up.
Although it is set to be another tough contest with Farrer's boasting some top tennis talent in Shane Freeland, Nathan Baker and Jemma Clarkson.
They also have added depth with Trent Driscoll and Sean Ellis, who will challenge Joinery's Harry Driscoll, Les McLeod and Paul Carson.
Stawell Gold Mines are licking their wounds from a narrow loss last week.
They tackle Cassidy Painting who are also coming off a tough first round back from the Christmas break.
Tonight's game will be hot from the first serve.
Cassidy Painting sit just outside the top three on the ladder, while Gold Mines need to win if they are to keep in touch with the rest of the competition.
Leading the way for Cassidy Painting is Matt Freeland and Jade Cross, who are up against Murray Hart and Megs Mitchell in the mixed doubles.
The highlight will be the clash between Cassidy's Phil Hutton and Gold Mine's Jake Stainsby - both players were in great form last week and will be looking to carry it over to tonight.
Meanwhile Frewstal have had an extended break following a bye and should be ready to go tonight when they come up against Trackside Bar and Bistro.
Frewstal will be aiming to win to keep their slender hold on top spot on the ladder.
Shane Field, Brian O'Shannessy and Glen Troeth are going to have their hands full, trying to curb the dominance of Andrew Dunn, Jacob Hamilton and Matt Dwyer in the men's section.
For the women, it will also be a battle of the big guns with Frewstal's Madi Cross and Hollie Boisen taking on Debbie Hart and Christine Graveson.
