Australia Day at Navarre

NAVARRE - The Navarre community celebrated Australia Day on Saturday in true Australian style at Navarre Park.

Navarre and district residents enjoyed an excellent breakfast of sausages, bacon and eggs to kick off the celebrations. This was followed by the raising of the flag by Ken Parry and Rupert Bibby and an address by Moss Arnott.

Mary Marland provided the music on the day, while Navarre Primary School students rode their ponies and sang the National Anthem. All in attendance then joined in the community singing.

Northern Grampians Shire Councillor Kevin Erwin was in attendance at the ceremony, as was former councillor Barry Marrow.
