STAWELL - The return of V/Line ticket sales to Stawell has been welcomed by the community.
David Zhang, the new owner of the Roswin Milk Bar and operator of V/Line ticket sales said people have been very happy.
"People are very happy because they can now buy a ticket so close to the station," he said.
"They say it is great to be able to buy tickets in town again.
"It is especially important to senior people, who have found the idea of having to buy a ticket from another town difficult."
Mr Zhang said ticket sales for the first bus at 6.50am were the busiest to date.
He said he is very confident in the future of selling tickets to Stawell commuters.
V/Line Regional Manager Peter Gibson said residents how have the convenience of being able to buy tickets before travelling.
"Customers were previously buying online well in advance of travel, or from the bus drivers," he said.
"We have had a lot of feedback from customers who wanted a physical presence in town from somebody who could sell tickets and give travel related information.
"It's great that David was so willing to help and is really doing us and Stawell residents a service."
The opening hours for the sale of V/Line tickets from Roswin Milk Bar are: Monday to Friday: 5.30am-8.00pm, Saturday 6.00am-8.00pm and Sunday 7.00am-8.00pm.
