STAWELL - Probus Clubs in Stawell are preparing to host a District Conference in October.
Members recently travelled to Portland to attend the 2012 conference and were presented with the traditional table cloth depicting all the areas that have hosted the conferences over the last 23 years.
'Stawell Probus Conference 2013' had a presentation table at the Conference where information, brochures and other Athletic Club material was on hand to promote Stawell and surrounding areas.
Gift baskets of local goods and produce were given to three lucky ticket holders and book marks with next year's conference dates were given to all 260 people who attended.
The Stawell planning committee hopes to attract at least that many people this year with the hope they will extend their stay to visit all that the area has to offer.
