Family enjoys Fyans holiday

LAKE FYANS - Daniel and Sharon Saviane have been holidaying at Lake Fyans for 17 years.

The couple from Upway in the Dandenongs visit the area four or five times every year.

Mrs Saviane said they keep the activities to a minimum choosing to relax and take in the surroundings.

"The kids go skiing and Daniel takes the boat out fishing, but other than that we like to relax," she said.

Mr Saviane said he takes the boat out on the water fishing for trout.

"We never bring anything in the way of food or that, we think it is very important to support the locals and shop in town," Mrs Saviane said.

"We have made some really good friends over the years here at the Caravan Park and we love the area."

She said after spending time at Lake Fyans during several events including fires the number of holiday makers seemed down this year compared to last.

"We spent a day in Halls Gap and it seemed quieter in numbers than other years, the same for here at Lake Fyans, I'm not sure why," Mrs Saviane said.
