STAWELL - Brian Malcolm, Mike Burrett and Keith Brilliant opened the new year with a win at the Stawell Bowling Club.
Eighteen players hit the greens on New Year's Day to contest the social bowls competition.
Meanwhile, Neil Coates led Norm Brimfield and Judy Fenwick to victory against a field of 25 in the Banker's competition last week.
This week's Banker's event was won by Ian Howard and his team consisting of Keith Brilliant and Bill Byron.
Tomorrow is the Stawell Bowling Club Alan Fry Triples event.
There is $330 in prize money up for grabs, with competition starting at 10am.
A barbecue lunch is available and afternoon tea will be provided. Cost is $36 per team and players must wear their uniform.
