Riders take more care

I travel the Halls Gap Road quite a lot due to work. Over the weekends I meet quite a few bike riders who ride three abreast. They don't seem to care about the cars. A couple of weeks ago, they had the 'Wildflower Bike Ride'. I was very disappointed in the way it was conducted. They were all over the road, some were even riding on the wrong side of the road, and they didn't care about the cars. Also, I was very mad, that there wasn't a policeman in sight to supervise the people on their bikes. There were a lot of parents riding with their children, but weren't watching for cars. If I hadn't been alert by watching them, someone could have got hit by a car. I hope they conduct themselves better next year. Pam Cashin Stawell
