STC - Perry’s Footwear proved why they are the top team in the Stawell Tennis Club Saturday afternoon competition when they sent Stawell Hydraulics packing in a season they’d rather forget.
Perry’s kept their undefeated run going with a 60 game drubbing of Hydraulics.
It was a consistent performance by Perry’s only losing three sets for the afternoon and displaying quality team efforts.
They were well led by young guns Riley Adamson and Courtney Morrow.
Jaiden Bach’s hard hitting allowed her to win two out of three sets for Hydraulics.
In the match of the day, it was between second placed Retravision and third placed Sportspower.
Retravision’s men got their team off to a good start only dropping one set, while the women’s were all tied up with both teams grabbing four sets apiece.
Retravision went into the mixed holding the advantage of being 19 games up.
Sportspower gave them a little scare in the mixed, but Retravision were able to hold onto a strong lead, eventually running out 12 game victors.
The ever reliable Shane Armer won his three sets for the winners as did Richard Blakey, Callum Rickard, Jenny Stevens and Lauren Iseppi.
Christine Graveson did her best to keep Sportspower in the match, winning all three sets for the afternoon.
