Stawell Mitre 10 Warriors have set their sights on upstaging another Wimmera Football League finals contender tomorrow, Horsham Saints.
Firing on all cylinders, Warriors have recorded an impressive start to the season which, after last week's thunderous win over the Warrack Eagles, has earnt them top spot on the ladder.
On paper, despite a side that could be so much stronger barring injuries, the Warriors appear to have too much firepower for the Saints.
However, tomorrow is still certain to be an interesting clash with Warriors traditionally struggling a little on the windy Coughlin Park.
Tomorrow's match kicks off a tough string of matches ahead for Warriors who after the Saints, will take on Dimboola and then Horsham in the not too distant future.
This of course comes after Warriors enjoy the bye round next weekend, giving them a week to get over any injuries.
"The next three games will be tough, we have to play three teams in the top five," Warriors senior coach Jamie Solyom said.
Solyom, who admitted that his side was far from full tilt, was delighted with the position of not only the seniors, but the club as a whole. He pointed out strength of the netball sides as well as on the football field.
The influential leader said he was happy with the performance against the Eagles under lights last weekend and highlighted the Warriors ability to create so many goalscoring chances up forward.
Aiden Potter looks to be priceless for his side at the moment and showed glimpses of brilliance last weekend.
Matt Arnel has really started to `find his feet' according to Solyom and he will be out to again rack up touches tomorrow.
Andrew Dunn, who has proven a revelation so far this season, and other runners Dale Power and Daniel Thomas, all have big roles to play in ensuring this match doesn't slip out of the Warriors grasp.
Michael Stevens appears to be the only casualty from last wek's match. He sustained broken ribs against the Eagles after a heavy clash of bodies and will be sorely missed in the backline.
Stevens joins a long list of other players on the sidelines, who on their return will ensure Warriors continue to be a serious contender for this year's premiership.
The Saints have two wins so far this year and last week suffered a crushing blow from the much-improved Dimboola.
Despite this, the Saints must be genuinely respected as they have inflicted heavy defeats on Ararat and Warrack Eagles this year and boast many quality players.
Coach Glenn Doyle is the man for the likes of captain Ben Williamson and Matt Arnel to contain up forward, while star Heath Watson poses a big danger.
Other WFL clashes tomorrow see Warrack Eagles hosting Horsham at Brim, Horsham United taking on Minyip-Murtoa and a battle of the cellar-dwellers between Ararat and Nhill.
