The O'Sullivan stable enjoyed a magnificent week both on and off the track this week.
Starting off Terry and Karina O'Sullivan's week was the news they had been cleared after a Racing Victoria stewards inquiry into a positive swab from Last Drop, following his win at Moonee Valley in November.
Last Drop returned a positive swab of three-mthoxytyramine of 5.0 milligrams a litre (mg/l), well above the allowable 4.0mg/l threshold.
Their week was then topped off by a brilliant treble at Wimmera Racing's meeting at Stawell on Monday.
Starting the treble off was Turning Stone in the first race of the day, the Howden Toyota SV Two Year-old Maiden Plate.
The spirited young galloper showed plenty of fight in the 1100 metre race, leading the field away.
Turning Stone then looked to be fading, before finding another gear to hold on for his first career victory in front of In Elegance.
Terry was all praise for the two year-old.
``He showed good fighting spirit. There was only four in the race, but he stuck to his guns,'' he said.
``It was a really top effort by him, he looks like he's going to be good I reckon.''
NMIT Maiden Plate favourite Viva Delspec was next to continue the stable's winning run.
With Garry Murphy in the saddle, he was content to sit Viva Delspec off the pace early, before making his move with 1000 metres to run.
The plan to let him sit back then fly home worked well, as the horse unleashed a blistering run down the home straight to blitz his rivals for a five length win, his first in a short career.
Picking up second and third place were Lunch and Crownies and Aqua Modern in a strong field.
Terry believes the three year-old is just starting to get the feel for racing.
``I'm pretty rapt with his performance, because he is quite immature in the brain,'' Terry said.
``I think the penny has finally dropped now.
``That was a reasonably strong race and he's been unlucky with his last couple of races.
``He's a horse who is best to keep cold and then let him fly home.''
The final O'Sullivan winner was `Exceptionally' good, with XXXX Gold 0-72 Handicap going the way of New Zealand bred Exceptionally in a hard-running performance.
The father/daughter combination would have been holding their breath when Exceptionally, the race favourite, was almost pipped at the post.
Jaggedman nearly put an end to the O'Sullivan treble, but Exceptionally held on for a tiring win with Holly McKechnie aboard the three year-old.
Exceptionally will be in action again at Morphettville tomorrow, aiming to extend on her $20,332 in winnings.
