Who Am I?

If we don't get a weekly sponsor for this column, I may have to do it just once a month or not at all, but today's will be sponsored by myself through my Mr Chip's Cleaning Service. A $30 wish card from Safeway is up for grabs.

Born at Korumburra in South Gippsland on August 20, 1958, Brian Arther ?? was the third born child of four `Billy Lids' belonging to Harold and Ann somebody.

His siblings are Peter, Barbara and Mark and his early education was at Korumburra Primary and High Schools, before graduating at the Victorian College of Pharmacy, where he gained a certificate to hang on his wall.

Brian started work at the Austin Hospital before retail pharmacy at Latrobe Valley, Lismore, London, Maryborough (QLD), after which he arrived in Stawell in 1993. In that time he operated the Amcal Pharmacy in partnership with Nigel Paulet for five years and then took over as sole proprietor since.

He is also the proprietor of the Grampians Pharmacy in Stawell.

Brian tried his hand at tennis, squash and football, where his career finished at under 18 level, but admits he was no a big sportsman and does enjoy the occasional round of social golf.

It was when he was in Lismore for his first pharmacy managing position where his life changed forever (and for the better), as he met and fell in love with a gorgeous `chic' from Lismore, Amanda Eileen Stewart.

`Mandi' was born at Lismore on April 29, 1964 to Gloria and Bruce Stewart, who also had a son Mark before Mandi arrived.

She attended South Lismore Primary, Lismore High School, then off she went to Northern Rivers Technical College.

Not just a pretty face is Mandi, but also pretty `cluey' as she started at the News Media Credit Union at the age of 18 and by the time she was 21 she was running the place as manager.

In 1991 they swore the famous words of `I do' and travelled overseas on a two year working holiday. Travelling to such places as the UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa, before returning to Maryborough in Queensland where Mandi was a personal assistant in a large timber merchant business.

After which she was appointed CEO of the ?? household in 1993 in Stawell and between having babies she worked in the office of the pharmacy.

She was a keen sports person, scuba diving and parachuting before having babies. Also tennis, basketball and squash, but now she is highly involved with the Stawell Racquetball Association as secretary/treasurer and also being `Mum's taxi' with the children in their sporting careers.

The highlight of Brian's life was witnessing the birth of his four beautiful children, Natasha 16, Cassandra 14, Sheridan 12 and Cameron 8, and helping them through life.

Mandi has been involved with the Stawell Red Garters (Australian Red Cross) for 15 years, treasurer for the past 13 years. While she has also been involved with the Grampians Calisthenic College, St Pats Primary School parents and friends and last but not least, in fact most important is a member of `The Good Night Out Society.'

Who are they?

Phone 53585025 with your name, phone number and the answer, with the winner appearing in the public notices column next Tuesday.
