Swifts/Great Western's Grampians Cricket Association's A grade clash against Rhymney/Moyston went according to the script - The Combine grabbed outright points.
Chashing down Rhymney/Moyston's first innings total of 97 runs and with Nick Clough in control, Swifts Great Western's first innings resuming at 6/123, soon moved along to 9/183.
With an 86 run lead Clough declared the innings closed, in a bid to set up the outright result.
Swifts/Great Western's bowlers did the rest. Rhymney/Moyston's second attempt was even worse than their first being bundled out for just 67 runs.
Paceman Marc Brilliant and medium pacer Gary Ranton did the damage for the Combine.
Ranton in a 13 over spell finished with 5/18, while Brilliant from his 14 overs finished with 3/19.
Once again captain/coach Shane Spriggs was the only Rhymney/Moyston batsman to show any real resistance with his score of 24 runs.
Pomonal and Tatyoon played out a thrilling draw in their clash.
Set a target of 207 runs, Pomonal resumed the second day at 0/31.
Openers Brendan Rudolph and Clayton Mackley took the score to 55 before Rudolph was trapped in front and even when Jock Rudolph lost his wicket with the score at 3/104 the Tigers appeared in control.
The loss of two quick wickets had Tatyoon back in the match, until Paul Antonio (24no) and Luke Roberts (33) turned the match back Pomonal's way.
Tatyoon paceman Adrian Gibson picked up vital wickets along the way and when he bowled Tristan Hilbig, he had saved the day for Tatyoon with Pomonal dismissed for 206 runs forcing the draw. Gibson finished with five wickets.
Youth Club led by a big hitting 99 from Jamie Solyom, forced a first innings win over St Andrews.
Resuming at 0/8 Youth Club were struggling a little at 3/36.
Solyom then went about rescuing the Youth Club innings.
He dominated partnerships and was the last wicket to fall on the day, when he was caught and bowled by spinner Andrew Dalgleish, unfortunately one run short of his century.
However, his innings which included 12 fours and five big sixes was enough to get Youth Club over the line.
Andrew Dalgleish was the best of the Saints bowlers with his 4/37 from nine overs.
Aradale settled in for a day of batting practice with a big first innings win against Buangor.
Resuming at 3/75 in reply to Buangor's first innings of 122 runs, Aradale was soon in control through the not out batsmen Clinton Rodger and Travis Horvatek.
When Rodger (68) was dismissed the Aradale score had reached 4/158 and when Horvatek was finally bowled after making a brilliant century, the score was 7/234.
Horvetek's innings of 107 included 13 fours.
In a long day in the field Buagnor's Jack Ganley returned the best bowling figures of 3/69.
