Byron snares a hat-trick

06 Nov, 2009 08:54 AM
Young Pomonal cricketer Byron Grinham captured a rare feat in his Under 13 match with Moyston on Sunday.

The future star snared a hat-trick in his team's victory, picking up his first wicket early in the over courtesy of a catch from older brother Darby before claiming two more scalps in succession and finishing his two over spell with figures of 4/4.

He also chipped in with a couple of runs while at the crease, before retiring.

Grinham was all smiles after the match and now has something to hold over his father Andrew who has been unlucky in his attempt to secure the terrific feat.
