With Baggies batting first, the Clubbers bowling attack endured a rather easy time on day one. Opener Mitch Olafsen was the best with his figures of 4/11 off six overs.

Several of the Baggies batsman got starts but couldn't go further and were bundled out for just 58.

Day two had opening pair Olafsen (30 not out) and Zac Marrow (32 not out) chase down the total and then retire. Middle order batsman Tom Walter chipped in late with his 15 not out to help the total reach 145, while Shaun Hayward (3/7) and Nathan Decker (3/22) were the pick of the bowlers for Baggies.

Pomonal have fallen just five runs short of defeating reigning premiers Great Western.

The Western took batting honours first, every player made a start when it came to their turn, with Tim Waring (23) being the most productive when at the crease.

The O'Neill brothers, Dylan (2/24) and Tom (2/26), both bowled with good pace for very few opportunities.

Tom backed it up with the bat, bashing his way to 26 runs, but it was the 41 not out made by Zach Chisholm that almost won the Tigers the match.

Chisholm played a superb innings and was unfortunate not to pinch the win. Despite his wayward bowling, Nick McCartney was the best for Great Western with his 2/26.
