A new and improved Official Visitors' Guide will encourage and assist visitors planning a break in the Grampians region.
Grampians Tourism will oversee the production of a new guide which will cover the municipalities of Ararat, Horsham, Pyrenees and the Northern and Southern Grampians.
The guide's format includes improved maps and features sections dedicated to key visitor experiences that are supported by the region's tourism-focused commercial facilities.
Up to 100,000 copies of the guide will be be distributed.
People can pick up a copy at Visitor Information Centres in Victoria and South Australia, particularly along the Melbourne-Adelaide inland and coastal touring routes.
The guide will also be available at travel-based consumer shows and will be provided to Tourism Victoria for use in their international offices and to give to visiting media.
``We plan to use some new images that really sell the region,'' Grampians Tourism chief executive officer Chris Burchett said.
``As well as the Grampians National Park, other parks, reserves and waterways will be featured as well as the towns and villages that offer many and varied experiences.
``This will be a top quality product and will be endorsed by Tourism Victoria.''
Tourism businesses from accommodation, restaurants, bars, cafes, tour operators, attractions, retail, galleries and cellar doors are encouraged to take up this cooperative marketing opportunity.
A prospectus outlining the details will be distributed shortly.

Grampians Tourism uses three interlinked tools in its wide-reaching marketing approach, which is comprised of This Guide, an Official Touring Map and the website www.visitgrampians.com.au.
