While there are plans to drain it, water remains in Lake Lonsdale and boating and skiing enthusiasts hit the water last weekend.
After heaving rains late in September there have been strong flows into the lake.
While GWMWater has continued with its policy of draining the water and moving it via the channel to Horsham's Taylors Lake, the remaining water levels allowed for the boats to make their way across the lake, something that hasn't been seen for a number of years.
The storage level has continued to increase in the past two weeks, with water flowing into the lake, combined with GWMWater making a decision to leave the pipes closed.
The pipes have remained closed throughout this week, giving enthusiasts a little more time to enjoy having recreational water in the lake.
At present, Lake Lonsdale holds 13,640 megalitres of water, which is 21% of its capacity.
