Neighbourhood Watch meeting

02 Dec, 2008 07:34 AM
The Stawell East Neighbourhood Watch Group will host its December meeting tonight.

Guest speaker will be Stawell Camera Club member John Simpkin, who will show his photographs from New Zealand.

The October meeting was attended by 12 residents, who viewed John Tiddy's magnificent magnified pictures of insects and flowers.

Police officers Ben and Toni attended and delivered the police report, which emphasised the need for safe motoring.

The officers also reported some progress had been made in apprehending hoon drivers.

The group has been asked by Wimmera Volunteers to highlight the need for people to become involved in their volunteer visiting program, details of which will be given at tonight's meeting.

The meeting starts at 7.30pm tonight in Cashin Hall at Eventide Homes.

Entry is via the door on the corner of Williams and Hastings Streets.
