Man charged over theft of phone

A thirty-six year-old Stawell man was interviewed by police in relation to the theft of a mobile phone.

The phone was reported stolen from the Stawell Leisure Complex on Wednesday, December 16.

The phone is valued at $490. Police have charged the man with theft and he has been bailed to appear at the Stawell Magistrates' Court at a later date.

A 20-year-old Stawell man was interviewed regarding criminal damage to a motor vehicle parked in Bayliss Street.

The offence occurred at 9.30pm on Thursday, December 24. The man has been summonsed to appear at the Stawell Magistrates' Court at a later date.

A 23-year-old man and a 27-year-old man were interviewed by police over criminal damage to the fence of a property in Bennett Street on Christmas Day.

A surveillance camera was also damaged. The men have been summonsed to appear at the Stawell Magistrates' Court at a later date.
