Kathryn Clayton wins award for excellence

Kathryn Clayton, Manager State Plan Implementation - Stawell Intertwine Services, has won the Victorian Disability Professional of the Year for the 2010 Disability Professional Victoria Annual Awards for Excellence.

The award celebrates and acknowledges individuals who demonstrate the qualities of excellence through leadership.

These qualities include passion, vision and commitment to the development of self and others.

The leadership acknowledged should make a significant difference to supporting individuals to achieve their life goals, through upholding their rights and choices in a way which promotes inclusion.

Kathryn was chosen for this award as she demonstrates these qualities and her professional approach is consistent with DPV Code of Ethics.

Kathryn was formally presented with her award at the official opening of the 2010 Inaugural National Disability Services/Disability Professionals Victoria conference by Minister Lisa Neville.
