The Stawell Hospital Ladies Auxiliary held a fundraising luncheon at Seppelts, Great Western Cellars in October.
Sixty four people attended the October 11 function and enjoyed a free drink and savouries on the lawn, before sitting down to a delicious meal of cold terrines served with salads, followed by a choice of several tempting desserts. Hand made chocolates served with tea or coffee finished the meal.
This event raised approximately $1700 which is going into funds to purchase an Oncology Infusion Pump for the hospital.
To finish off the year there will be a dinner at the Trackside Bistro on Friday, November 27 at 6pm for a 7pm start. Cost is $25 per person and includes a carvery and four choices of sweets.
People are encouraged to arrange a table with some friends and to come along for a night of fun and companionship. Tickets are available from Lorraine Rowe 5356 6393.
The Auxiliary would like to thank everyone who has supported in any way, the events held this year. Their assistance and generous donations greatly contributed to a successful year once again.
Following the dinner the Auxiliary will be in recess until Tuesday, February 21, 2010 when the first meeting for the year will be held.
