Police arrested two Stawell men during the early hours of Wednesday morning in relation to criminal damage.
The two males, aged 19 and 18, have caused damage at opposite ends of the city using a baseball bat.
Acting Sergeant David Cosgriff said the damage was caused do the baker's statue at the front of Chris N Di's Bakery on the Western Highway, while the George Tattersalls sign at the Sloane Street entrance to the Stawell Hospital was smashed with the baseball bat.
One of the males has been charged with criminal damage and released on bail, while the other was released pending a summons.
Acting Sergeant Cosgriff said a passing witness saw the men causing damage to the baker's statue at Chris N Di's and gave police a description of the vehicle the men were in. This vehicle was intercepted at around 2am and was searched, resulting in police locating the baseball bat.
Estimated value of the damage was $2000.
"We appreciate the witness letting us know about the offence and giving such a good description of the vehicle involved," Acting Sergeant Cosgriff said.
"For that reason, we were able to apprehend the offenders."
