HALLS GAP - Celebrity chef Adrian Richardson will share his love of modern Mediterranean food with more than eight thousand people at the Grampians Grape Escape in May.
Celebrating its 21st anniversary, the Grampians Grape Escape is being conducted in Halls Gap on Saturday, May 5 and Sunday, May 6.
The television identity, author and restaurateur will conduct twice daily cooking demonstrations in the main tent at the Halls Gap Village Oval, sharing his simple and hearty recipes using the freshest of local ingredients.
"Adrian's energetic persona and fantastic connection with a live audience makes him the perfect match for our Grampians Grape Escape crowd," Festival Director, David Wheaton said.
"Our food and wine patrons are there for the full package, to informally learn new cooking skills, experience local produce and most of all have fun. They're really going to enjoy Adrian's simple produce-driven approach to cooking."
Adrian Richardson began his career in Melbourne and worked under some great chefs in Australia and overseas before opening his busy North Carlton restaurant La Luna Bistro 16 years ago. Adrian now spends his time between La Luna, writing books ('Meat' and 'The Good Life') and hosting television ('Secret Meat Business' and 'Good Chef Bad Chef'). Adrian also co-hosts a food segment on Radio 3AW radio each Tuesday morning with Neil Mitchell.
This year's Grampians Grape Escape will feature more than 100 of Western Victoria's finest food and wine producers and feature exciting events like the Grampians Winemakers' Barrique Auction, Festival Dinner, Culinary Challenge and Junior Cupcake Competition.
